Privacy Policy

The contact form is the only place this site asks you for anything. It collects:

• your first and last name;
• your email address;
• your phone number, if you give one;
• the state you live in;
• whether you would prefer virtual, in-person or a mix of both sessions;
• roughly when you are available;
• which clinician you would like to see, or that you have no preference;
• how you heard about the practice;
• how you plan to pay, if you tell us;
• the message you write.

Your IP address and the identifying string your browser sends about itself are saved alongside the submission. They are kept as a record of where an enquiry came from and are used for nothing else.

Please don’t send detailed clinical or medical history through this form. A sentence or two about what you are looking for is all that is needed to start a conversation.

Your submission is saved to the practice’s own database first, then a notification about it is emailed to a single address so the enquiry is seen. That email is delivered by Postmark, an email delivery provider, and it carries your name, your answers and your message so the practice can reply. Your email address is set as the reply-to address on it.

Nothing else is done with what you send. It is not sold, rented, traded or shared with anyone outside the practice, and it is never used for advertising or added to a mailing list. The practice has no mailing list.

This site runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels. Nobody is measuring your visit, and nothing here follows you to another site.

Two cookies are set: a session cookie and a matching security-token cookie. They exist so the contact form can tell a genuine submission from a forged one. They hold no personal information and are not used to profile anyone.

Fonts, images and stylesheets are served from the same server as the pages themselves, so simply reading this site does not report your visit to anyone else.

The contact form carries a hidden field that only automated submitters fill in. The site may also use Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-spam check that confirms a submission came from a person. When that check is switched on, a small script loads from Cloudflare and your IP address is sent to Cloudflare so it can make that decision. It is used for nothing else, and when the check is switched off nothing is loaded and nothing is sent.

The site and its database run on a private server operated on the practice’s behalf, not on a website-builder platform. Access to the enquiries it holds is limited to the practice and to the person who maintains the site.

Enquiries are kept as records of who contacted the practice and when. Nothing deletes them on a timer.

You can ask for yours to be deleted at any time, and you do not have to give a reason. Email khrisdurhamcounseling@gmail.com from the address you wrote in, or call (323) 376-9774. The same address will tell you what the practice holds about you.
